👋Welcome to GitGig!

Overview

🚨 We are working on audits and will notify once they are complete- use at your own risk!

👋🏼What is Gitgig?

Welcome! We are building a tool that enables any open-source community to post and claim bounties on GitHub issues seamlessly, enabling freelance contributors and maintainers to build decentralised reputation for their professional resumes.

⭐️ Vision and Mission

Our vision is to catalyze a global community of open-source projects where developers are empowered using bounties that fuel progress and decentralized identities to enable communities through trustless systems.

🚦 The Problem

Lack of incentives: Contributors and maintainers lack tangible incentives to contribute. Funding is difficult to source, and maintainers and contributors receive no compensation for their work.

Poor Co-ordination: Inefficient processes for issue prioritisation can lead to issues being unattended for extended periods resulting in unsustainable and poor dependency management for open-source repositories

Talent Sourcing: Open source projects struggle to allocate resources strategically and identify qualified and reliable talent for task completion, particularly in industries dominated by freelance remote workforces

💡The Solution

Empower the gig economy: Balanced incentivization and prioritization through bounties on opensource projects for global talent in a merit-based gig economy

Intergrated Bounty Management: Ensure bounty distribution through trusted smart contracts and bounty claims through Web3 wallets in a fully GitHub-integrated workflow without the need for project onboarding

Verifiable Reputation: Enable contributors and maintainers to develop profiles with verified on-chain reputation based on their professional work resume
